1. Zona thần kinh là gì?

Bệnh zona thần kinh còn gọi là bệnh zona, tên tiếng Anh là shingles, trong dân gian còn được gọi với tên gọi là “giời leo”. Bệnh zona là bệnh nhiễm trùng da do virus thần kinh Varicella zoster (VZV) – virus gây bệnh thủy đậu, thuộc họ virus herpes gây nên. Sau khi người bệnh bị bệnh thuỷ đậu đã khỏi thì vẫn còn một số virus Varicella tồn tại ở trạng thái tiềm tàng nhưng không gây bệnh.

Các virus này cư trú ở các hạch thần kinh trong nhiều tháng, nhiều năm. Khi gặp các điều kiện thuận lợi như: suy giảm miễn dịch, các sang chấn tinh thần hoặc suy nhược cơ thể… loại virus này sẽ tái hoạt. Chúng nhân lên và phát triển lan truyền ra các đầu dây thần kinh cảm giác làm tổn thương niêm mạc, da từ đó gây nên bệnh zona. Đó chính là lý do mà zona là một bệnh ngoài da nhưng lại có tổn thương gốc ở dây thần kinh.

2. Triệu chứng của Zona thần kinh

Những triệu chứng ban đầu mà bệnh nhân có thể gặp phải đó là:

  • Trước khi tổn thương mọc 2-3 ngày thường có cảm giác báo hiệu như: rát dấm dứt, đau vùng sắp mọc tổn thương, kèm theo triệu chứng toàn thân ít hoặc nhiều như: mệt mỏi, đau đầu,…
  • Vị trí xuất hiện thường chỉ ở một bên cơ thể 
  • Tổn thương ban đầu bằng các mảng đỏ, nề nhẹ, hình tròn hay bầu dục dọc dây thần kinh. Sau 1-2h những mảng đỏ xuất hiện mụn nước chứa dịch, căng khó vỡ. Về sau mọc thành cụm, đục, vỡ và xẹp để lại sẹo (nếu nhiễm khuẩn)

3. Bệnh zona có lây nhiễm hay không?

Người bệnh zona không thể lây bệnh trực tiếp cho người khác. Khi tiếp xúc trực tiếp với mụn nước trên cơ thể người bệnh zona, người tiếp xúc có khả năng bị nhiễm virus varicella-zoster (nguyên nhân gây bệnh). Khi bị nhiễm virus mà trước đây chưa bị thủy đậu hoặc chưa chích vắc-xin thủy đậu thì người nhiễm có nguy cơ phát bệnh thủy đậu. Sau khi lành bệnh thủy đậu thì có thể bị zona.

Bệnh zona thần kinh là bệnh truyền nhiễm, có thể dễ lây lan trong gia đình và khu vực vào mùa hè, mùa mưa, khi thời tiết giao mùa do tiếp xúc hoặc sinh hoạt chung với những người mắc bệnh. Bệnh có thể tự khỏi trong vòng 2 – 3 tuần và có thể dễ dàng lây truyền từ người này sang người khác.

4. Cách kê liều Zona thông dụng tại nhà thuốc

Nếu bạn nghĩ mình bị Zona, hãy đến gặp bác sĩ càng sớm càng tốt, vì thuốc kháng virus chỉ có hiệu quả khi được sử dụng sớm. Hướng điều trị và liều dùng dưới đây chỉ dành riêng cho các dược sĩ, nhân viên y tế đã có kinh nghiệm dùng thuốc.

Hướng điều trị:

  • Thuốc kháng sinh virus: Acyclovir dùng từ 7-10 ngày
  • Kháng sinh: khi có bội nhiễm (vết thương lở loét, vỡ mụn nước nhiều)
  • Giảm đau thần kinh: paracetamol, gabapentin,…
  • Vitamin nhóm B liều cao

Liều dùng:

Acylovir ở người lớn: 800mg x 5 lần/ngày, cách 3-4h uống viên 800mg

Kháng sinh: dùng khi bội nhiễm, chọn nhóm:

  • Nhóm Macrolid: Azithromycin 250mg x 3 lần/ngày
  • Nhóm Macrolid: Azithromycin 250mg x 3 lần/ngày
  • Nhóm Macrolid: Azithromycin 250mg x 3 lần/ngày

5/ Biện pháp phòng ngừa bệnh Zona

Dưới đây là một số biện pháp phòng ngừa bệnh Zona đúng cách để bảo vệ bản thân và gia đình:

  • Tuyệt đối không gãi, chà xát và để xà phòng, nước bẩn tiếp xúc với vùng da bị nhiễm bệnh. Điều này sẽ làm các mụn nước vỡ ra và gây nên nguy cơ nhiễm trùng rất cao.
  • Giữ cho vùng da bị zona luôn sạch sẽ, rửa vết thương bằng nước muối loãng để sát khuẩn hoặc bằng thuốc rửa chuyên biệt mà bác sĩ chỉ định.
  • Rửa tay sạch sẽ thường xuyên, đúng cách nhất là trước và sau khi chăm sóc vùng da bị tổn thương, mặc quần áo thoải mái, không bó sát vào vùng da tổn thương.
  • Tuyệt đối không tiếp xúc với phụ nữ mang thai, trẻ em, trẻ sơ sinh thiếu tháng hoặc nhẹ cân, những người suy giảm miễn dịch, những người chưa từng mắc thủy đậu, zona trong hay chưa chích ngừa thủy đậu cho đến khi lành bệnh.
  • Chỉ dùng thuốc đã có sự đồng ý của bác sĩ, không tự ý dùng thuốc.
